If you have an 8th grade player, it is very important that you take precautions to protect your son or daughter’s high school eligibility. If your son or daughter is going to attend a high school outside of the school your home is zoned for, you must check with that High School’s Athletic Director about the effect of playing club sports on your son or daughter’s high school eligibility. The Ponte Vedra Lacrosse Club and the PVAA are not liable for any eligibility decisions made by the FHSAA or the possible ramifications of those decisions. The FHSAA Rules are very, very broad and confusing regarding boosters and interested parties. It is incumbent upon you to check with the Athletic Department of the high school your child intends to attend.
We encourage all parents to make the best decision possible based upon the academic needs of the student rather than athletic departments.
